Acquiesce (/ˌakwɪˈɛs/)

To accept something reluctantly but without protest. The act or condition of acquiescing (giving tacit assent / agreement or consent) by silence or without objection; compliance. Derived from latin word quiescere, meaning to be quiet

Note: Tacit means (expressed or carried on without words or speech / implied or indicated (as by an act or by silence) but not actually expressed)

Example

He will acquiesce simply because he is a sick man.

She left home because he would not acquiesce to the unhappy marriage.

She wants to marry a poor primary – school teacher but her parents will never acquiesce
